I once had the textured cover YA album, but don't know where it is anymore. I have only the glossy. It must have been lost in a move at some point. Bummer. It did feel and look good. Nubby.
As for "Memory of a Free Festival" done by the Spree this last tour, that was a BLAST, bfp. I am actually a Spree fan now, believe it or not, but pretty much just tolerated them during the A Reality Tour. Until . . . the last two US shows. They were very good at Jones Beach, NY, and then they were absolutely fantastic in Holmdel NJ. In addition to doing the end refrain from Memory of a Free Festival, they also did Five Years in its entirety--and the entire audience was singing and screeming along with them. Tim DeLaughter did an amazing job of emoting through those lyrics. And then the Spree came back to do Slip Away, by which time I had wriggled up to the front and Bowie was kneeled just two feet before me holding his little stylophone. What an amazing night.
As for the "surprise," I think it is either a picture, poster or some sort of pull-out dealy, or an audio track (maybe music, maybe an interview). I highly doubt there will be a DVD or DualDisc component. I am somewhat cynical that it will be truly "surprising," but hopefully TV knows what he's talking about and we've got something quite interesting or amusing to look forward to that sets this re-issue a bit apart from the earlier ones.
