In reply to:
Space Oddity = Avaruusoutous (maintains something of the original "odyssey" pun)
Yes, but I've always thought of the Oddity as some sort of object or a living thing, like an alien, where the word "kummajainen" is better. But then, that's just how I've always seen the tittle. Anyway, what does the word "outous" have to do with "odyssey"?
In reply to:
Lodger = Alivuokralainen ('vuokralainen' does not mean the same thing as 'lodger').
I knew that. My brain just wasn't working at the time I made the translations.
In reply to:
Outside = Ulkopuolella (although "Ulkona" is as valid as a translation, my version retains more of the spirit of the original)
Hey, come on! "Totuus on tuolla ulkona"
In reply to:
Heathen = Uskoton (would be a better translation than "pakana")
Why? Heathen is "pakana". Anyway, "uskoton" means someone who's in a relationship, but sleeps with other people. Unless you mean "uskonnoton", which I think is more like an atheist, which is a completely different thing from heathen. Like, I'm an atheist, but not a heathen.
But if you're gonna dine with them cannibals, sooner or later, darling, you're gonna get eaten
