Lodger is purposely flawed and experimental but as you get used to it, it normalizes itself to become something unique and classic. Reality sounds conventional and fresh at the same time to me. It is his recapitulation album behind a generic rock record. Deconstructing the norm with songs of death and cut-up lyrical plaster with his off-kilter compositions and odd sounds.
