Unfortunetly, bootlegs by nature never become overly valuable because they are openly duplicated and distributed by traders. Although your packaging may list your recording as "rare" or "limited", don't believe it. Now you may come across an individual willing to spend some money on a fatory original boot, but not the kind of cash one would spend for a limited edition promo!
The value of discs will continue to plummet as the price of creating pressed discs continues to fall. Every recording studio lackey and record fair shill are creating their own "re-releases" at will. There are even folks downloading low quality MP3's from the Internet and pressing them. It's amazing how low some will sink to make a buck!
However, the "official" verison of the Christiane F soundtrack may be worth something one day...?
