Yes the audio part does play but you need a laser disc or summat for the video which won't play in anything I've tried.

As far as I know, you need a special Laser Disc player so, no, it's not going to work on anything else. My point was, though, that the CD isn't completely pointless.

Later versions of the box set had a CD rom which is more useful I think!

Indeed, though if you have the Best Of Bowie DVD, the video track is redundant.
