Neither Grovin' Up nor Amsterdam were originally recorded for PinUps. The former was recorded in early Diamond Dogs -sessions, whereas the latter was recorde for inclusion of the album that became Ziggy Stardust, but dropped before the release. They were included on PinUps as bonus tracks simply because they are covers.

It should be noted that a studio version of White Light, White Heat was apparently recorded during the PinUps sessions (although it's uncertain if it was ever completed to a releaseable form).
