I presume NO because it was a continual tape loop, I've only ever seen one Bowie 8 track and that was for Hunky Dory, that album was used in the 1970s as a kind of standard bearer of sound technology, It was the album to own, I've even seen it for sale on Reel-to-Reel pre-recorded tape,
