I can only see two advantages:

(a) For research purposes & keeping a copy of the original mix and track order.

(b) For your collection's sake. Although I don't care for collecting, even I would notice the two gaping holes in your RYKOs when you presumably own all the others.

But I reckon it does boil down to getting a good price. If I ever register an EBay account, I'll be sure to sell my copies of the Travelling Wilbury's long deleted CDs and my CD copy of Floyd's original Relics release.
