In the summer of 1974, David Bowie recorded Young Americans at a small studio in Philadelphia called Sigma Studios.A small group of teenage Bowie fans from Philadelphia started to congregate outside the studio, and follow Bowie to and from his hotel (The Barclay) each day as he arrived to record. This group became known as the Sigma Kids, and on the last day of recording, Bowie invited them all in to listen to the final cut of the album.
