Teenage Wildlife

REM-ing, stop, Beta waves
In my mind when I close my eyes
Certain wonder dances in limbo
Clothed in fear, wonder and rage

Crimson flowers bloom in the daytime
Saffron nights, blind fireflies
Raindrops streak my blurred, cloudy vision
As I dwell here, quoting the sage

Pretty words painting copper collage
Midas gold tough, tainted with lies
Saccharin weather creeps overhead as
Hueless charcoal colors the mage

Now I return from such curried exposure
Drawing away from where oblivion lies
Lids flutter open, I seldom remember
I am the Master of Rennissance Age
