Hi. Love this site. One question about the Large and Live concert playing to theatres. In Toronto it said it was September 14, 2003 the concert was being played live. On BowieNet it said it was September 4, I believe. And I heard that it was in New York, was the concert. But BowieNet said it was in London. Which of the two questions is true? Please help. Take care. Craig.

As per the Today show site, Bowie will be live out on the plaza at Rockefeller Center, again, Thursday, Sept. 18. First real thing that release week at least that I've heard, save the screening on Sept. 15. Since he'll be back here, is there any chance that the retro closed-circuit style screening can actually be held live, a second time, in the U.S.? My question: why isn't there a single, and why are they taking so long to go for adds with NKS? :-)

HI I'm Donald Flakker husband of Bernice Flakker.I have recently noticed skid marks on my wife's desk. My wife claims it was because it was bought from a specialist in Bowie stage props and was used when David said "ZIGEEEEEEEEEEEY played guitar" and then he skidded across the top. However i am not as stupid as she thinks i am and do not watch tv reruns all day, infact i have been spying on her and her illicit affair with Brad Chunda which has been going on across her desk, so Lester Magford was right and should get his job back now that i have shot them.

Hi I am Bernice Flakker and i am overall boss over Lester Magford and Bart Chunda. I would like to say publically that i was so incensed of Lester Magford's treatment of Bart Chunda that i have decided to fire Lester Magford. This is not a fickle decision of a woman juggling a job, a family and stupid husband whos does nothing all day but watch reruns of "jobs around the house and garden" with Mike Smith. This concerns the Lester Magford fantasy world of David Bowie. Quite clearly Bart Chunda did make a mistake and was embarrassed by being found under the table with a teddy bear, but his treatment by Lester Magford was indeed harsh an un called for.

Hi I'm Lester Magford and i want to state publically that my man Bert has been fired from his job for making devious deceptions in the case one David Bowie. Bert has no evidence that David Bowie was under a table getting ass kicked by Iman. Infact Bert has just tried to sensationalise a trivial incidence involving himself and NOT David Bowie. It appears that the super across the way from Bert's block actually saw Bert and NOT David Bowie under a table getting his ass cheeks spanked from every possible angle by a Messers Honeyclunk Ibsen and NOT Iman. Please record this to your notebooks for future reference.

Hi I'm Burt Crunda I am writing an article on the great North East power outage. I shall be documenting people's experiences of the power out in the NY area. Can someone tell me what David Bowie was doing when the power cut? I understand he hid under a table with a teddy bear while Iman was booting his ass and telling him to get out. Is this true? or is the old babbooska super at bowie's block spinning me a line?

rancell, don't you start in on that generic viagra! lolol. It would be nice for Evan to come back - I wonder if there is actually anything that he could do to stem the flow of ads being posted on the guestbook. When I next speak with him, I will ask him about it. I hope that NA tour dates are announced far enough ahead that I can actually plan for them (and make sure I have enough money saved up- which is my real worry, as I'm practically broke now.)

Alys, I have no idea what you're talking about. :-) I guess the calls for Evan to return are a bit of a cliche, but I kinda would like him to explain how they find guestbooks, and spam them in such a personal way. Damn near almost makes me want to look into the generic viagra thing. Who knows? It may be an irresistible deal. I thought that Bowienet said the North American leg will be announced in September, but that didn't appear in any of the official press releases. That sounds about right, because they will want long lead time when the on sales eventually start to (a) sell the big places and (b) add a second night when the small places sell out fast.

The new Ice magazine is out and around. I haven't seen it, but it seems Bowie is on the cover. Apparently in the article, Bowie ices the Matrix. It's hard to tell from what I read whether it means whatever the Matrix did or intended to do is permanently buried or not, but Bowie says that there was never an intention to use the Matrix for production on Reality, which I guess we already knew. BTW, I saw a posting on the Internet with a "7:57 pm" Monday time stamp that announced the Poughkeepsie show and the password, proving what we all knew: the buyers were well beyond the Bnet community. The tickets were gone less than two hours later, and it's probably surprising that it took about four hours or so, give or take, to sell the place out. If the show has been announced in advance, it would have sold out in about a minute. The element of surprise made it linger, and leveled the playing field in a way, but, thanks in large part to the use of TM, opened it up to the world, which doesn't bother me, and the worst kind of scalping imaginable, which does. The eBay auctions are pretty sickening, and violate NY state resale laws all over the place. No one cares.

BMG Music Service FINALLY has added most of the Bowie catalog. Not everything, but most everything. So for your 12-for-the-price-of-one choices, you can fill out your catalog with the EMI remasters, Heathen on the current label, even the first TM album. Not to mention All Saints and Christiane F., the latter of which in a moment of weakness I just broke down and bought ($4 at the Wiz's going out of business sale a few months ago). They have the Beeb, but not the limited edition, which I haven't seen in the stores here since early 2001, though I'm sure they're still out in the hinterland.

Happy (belated) Birthday Pam!!! :)
And thank-yous to Flossie (today's fan contribution) for her poetry; it gave me a laugh, and reminded me of the good ol' days.

Hi to everybody from Sydney,Australia. It's great to see such a cool site dedicated to Bowie- The King of Rock. I've only just recently discovered David Bowie but he has to be one of the best artists in the world. His music takes me away whether it be to outer space with Major Tom, to dancing in a street or on a stage with a guitar and Ziggy Stardust.Lots of love from a 16 yr old girl from down under

I have a question for the more experienced. Is there any difference between the US and UK versions of the album "Earthling"? I'm not a collector, I'm just buying David Bowie's albums and want to know if it's worth paying extra for the import.
