What a week. What a jaw dropping run. Some sad news this weekend: Robert Quine died. He was a legendary downtown guitarist known for his work with Richard Hell and the Voidoids. He came into his own when he toured and recorded with Lou Reed in the early 80s. He is the direct antecedent to what Reeves Gabrels did with Bowie. I've never noted a Reeves mention of Quine, but he owes a huge debt.
