| Your life story: | You don't want my whole life story. Much too complicated. So, shall we settle for my Bowie life story? Good. I had heard the name David Bowie, of course, having parents that were into the "popular music" scene as teenagers, and I loved Nirvana's rendition of "The Man Who Sold the World." Then I saw "Labyrinth" and fell in love. He was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I bought "The Man Who Sold the World" just to see how the album sounded, and fell in love again. I hadn't gotten to finish the movie, and had trouble finding anything about its star, until recently. I am now in the process of collecting everything I can get my hands on. Also, for my 18th birthday/High School Graduation I put together a marvelous party...everything was totally Bowie! Now if I could just get a ticket to Gisbourne...oh well. I really can't afford it, since I'm flying across the country and bumming housing from an internet friend to see him at Roseland. |
