David Bowie not only writes music, he likes to paint and sculpt in
his spare time. On this page, you can find links and pictures of some
of his non-musical creations.

Masks 1996
|
A work donated to H.R.H. Prince's Trust for auction (sold for
£1,200.). Prince Charles' representatives sent out
plain white masks to over 1,000 celebrities. Bowie's mask (#56),
by the self-described "Artist/Singer/Songwriter/Actor", was unpainted,
with the following handwritten remark
"Your pretty face is going to hell, Bo '96"
on the reverse, and 666 stencilled on the forehead.

David exhibited a sculpture (which subsequently appeared in the
artwork of the Earthling album)
at the 1996 Florence Biennale Fashion Exhibition. Although it's been
taken down, you can still
visit it
online.
