This German made movie about a heroin addict (real name Christiane Felscherinow) in Berlin is based on a a true story. Christiane is a huge Bowie fan, and there's a lengthy concert scene of Bowie (supposedly) performing in Berlin.

The soundtrack to the movie can be found on Bowie's 1981 release Christiane F - Wir Kinder von Bahnhof Zoo.

Trivia

• Although the concert scene with Bowie is supposed to be recorded in Berlin during his Low/Heroes tour, it was actually recorded in 1980 in a faked concert scene just for the movie.
