Pirate albums are LPs or CDs that at first sight appear to be regular releases, but in fact are bootlegs pretending to be official albums; also included are a few bootlegs that were available through official channels plus several semi-legal albums (from countries that have no copyright laws). In this section all albums on vinyl covered.

The Man Who Sold The WorldThe Man Who Sold The World The Man Who Sold The World
1980/2004.

Two pirate picture discs have been made of this album. The first (MWP 123075) is from 1980 and uses the cover of the 'drag cover'. Rather than the album, it inappropriately contains the Scary Monsters Interview. The second picture disc (Mercury 6338 041), released in 2004, is a good quality copy similar to the Scary Monsters picture disc below. Not only does it have the unique artwork of the 'round cover' on both sides, it also copies the original inner sleeves.

This album, with the same tracklisting as the official album, too was quickly exposed as a pirate disc.
