Your life story: Have loved Bowie's music, since "Space Oddity". Had the pleasure of catching the first broadcast of "The 1980 Floor Show" (1973). I've recently posted a page of my favorite Real Audio/MP3 files called 'live wire'. Whier i also listed a concert review/song list from his '97 "EARTHLING stop in Philly. Grew up in a very musical household; My Uncle Donald played drums for Jazz organist JIMMY SMITH and many others. My Uncle Morris wrote many songs before/during 'The Sound Of Philadelphia' era--including "Ebony Woman" (BILLY PAUL) and "Go To Hell" (NINA SIMONE). My cousin Victor has played (Bass) for an equally impressive series of bands; replacing JACO PASTORIOUS when he departed from WEATHER REPORT and supporting MADONNA during her "GIRLIE SHOW" Tour". Among the many others he's played with/for: ANDY SUMMERS, FAITH EVANS, DIZZY GILLESPIE and the late saxaphonist GEORGE HOWARD. Always taught to 'keep an open ear'/having had a chance to soak in/appreciate so many different musical flavors, I'm still very much 'a near-rabid Bowie fan'. And can't wait to welcome the new millenium Mr. Bowie and the October arrival of 'hours' :-)!
